In case you didn’t know, I just love me a good eyeshadow palette. I’m like a kid in a candy store every time I step inside Ulta Beauty or Sephora. I could get lost for hours through the aisles.
But, for the longest time, I found myself gravitating toward nude colours only. While nudes are gorgeous and perfect for everyday wear, there’s nothing like a colourful palette.
Vibrant hues not only make you look like an entirely different person, but make you feel good, too.
One of my absolute favourite palettes is Tarte Cosmetics’ Young, Wild & Cruelty Free. This eyeshadow palette is among some of the best that money can buy.
I love so many things about this palette. First of all, it’s cruelty free, meaning, the company does not test on animals. The colours are also deeply pigmented, so a little goes a long way.
The palette also has a soft vanilla smell. It’s not overbearing, just enough to make you smile. It also lasts a very long time.
The palette has the perfect combination of matte and shimmer colours that perfectly complement one another.
I have used the blues, greens and oranges countless times., but I found myself staying away from the more muted colours.
My sister, who is a makeup artist extraordinaire, helped me step outside of my comfort zone, and for that I am most grateful.
I did a tutorial on my YouTube channel, where I experimented with some of the underused colours. The final result was perfect.
