I have found that in life, you get what you pay for. So, when I picked up this ELF Peach Squad eyeshadow duo from my local Dollar Tree, I had zero expectations that it would become a permanent fixture in my cosmetic arsenal.
I had never purchased cosmetics from a Dollar Tree store, so I figured that this eyeshadow would be patchy and dull. I am so happy to report that I was wrong.
I have to admit, I was never a fan of peach. In fact, I detested anything peach-coloured. But, I figured, it only costs $1, so it wouldn’t be that much of a loss.
Peach Squad is the perfect matte and shimmer eyeshadow duo. What surprised me most is just how pigmented the shadows are and they are very easy to blend. If you read my blog regularly, you would know that pigment is very important to me.
That’s because when eyeshadows are pigmented, they look more vibrant even with the gentlest application.
ELF did a fantastic job at creating this colour combo of peach and gold. The colours are buildable and I find that the palette is perfect for creating day and night looks.
Considering that some cosmetic companies sell these colours individually for $7 and up, I think this was a steal.
I have found myself buying a lot of drugstore brands of late. Many of them perform as well as their more expensive counterparts, so why spend more money?
Another thing that I loved about this palette is how long the colours lasted on my eyes. I got many compliments as well.
I will definitely be scouring the Dollar Tree for more gems in the future.
If you bought this eyeshadow duo, let me know what you think about it.
I did a YouTube tutorial with this colour. Check out the video down below.
