Finding stylish flats that don’t hurt your feet and are comfortable for all day wear is hard. Especially if you have foot problems. My Rothy’s Max Buckle Mary Jane white mesh review will introduce you to a shoe that is a bit expensive, but worth every penny.
Just recently, I bought my second pair of Rothy’s Mary Janes.
This brand wasn’t on my radar until I started experiencing serious foot pain – the kind that required X-rays, steroid injections and MRIs.

Every online article that I read kept suggesting Rothy’s. I didn’t want ugly orthopedic shoes, so I decided to give it a try.
Initially, the price tag scared me, but my feet love these shoes, so I’m officially married to the brand.
My Honest Rothy’s Max Buckle Mary Jane White Mesh Review: Comfort & Style
This comfortable flat ticks every box.
Not only are these shoes stylish, but, they’re versatile to take you from day to night – office to evening cocktails. They also don’t hurt my feet – even after walking for hours.
There were several colour options. However, I wanted something that would be versatile enough to pair with most of my outfits.
Initially, I tried on the red flats and later, the black.

But, I already have a black Max Square Mary Jane flat from Rothy’s, so the white was a better choice.
Unlike my first Rothy’s pair, this Mary Jane has a thicker, adjustable strap.
The gold eyelets really give this shoe a luxe look and feel.

Rothy’s Serves Up Eco-Friendly Style
Not only is Rothy’s good for my feet, but they’re good for the planet. In fact, they’re known for its commitment to sustainability, which is a bonus.
Its shoes are made from recycled plastic water bottles, which help to reduce your carbon footprint.
So, for those who want a comfortable shoe that is not only stylish, but is good for the environment, then these shoes fit the bill.

What Makes The Max Buckle Mary Jane So Comfy?
What is it about this shoe that makes it so freakin’ comfortable? Well, according to the brand, the Max Buckle Mary Jane has:
- A cushioned insole perfect if you stand on your feet all day. (Retail and customer service workers would love this)
- Flexible sole for walking or dancing
- Secure buckle strap which keeps your feet supported and blister-free
To me, it feels like I’m walking on a cushiony cloud, and that’s hours after putting them on.

Cleaning Is A Breeze; They Are Machine Washable
Buying white shoes is risky. Especially if you live in the city where you’re likely to step in spills and dog poop on any given day.
However, Rothy’s shoes are machine-washable. So, you don’t have to worry about getting your shoes dirty.
Just remove the insole and toss the pair in the washing machine.
But, there are a few caveats. Lighter colour flats get dirty quickly and sometimes, it’s tough to get stains out.
Also, after washing your shoes, you won’t be able to just toss them in the dryer. They will have to air dry, which takes time. So, please be aware of that.

Let’s Talk About The Price Tag
As I mentioned earlier, these shoes aren’t cheap.
They retail for $179. Add on tax and we’re edging closer to $200. Never in my life did I think I would ever shell out that kind of cash for shoes. But, hear me out.
My feet have been in tremendous pain. The only time I feel some relief is when I slip on these shoes. That alone makes the shoes priceless.
These are absolutely an investment piece.

Worth Every Penny
Considering that the Rothy’s Max Buckle Mary Jane shoes are pricey, I plan to get a lot of wear out of them.
They also pair rather nicely with dresses, skirts, shorts and jeans.
These shoes instantly make me look put together – elevated even.

Look how you’re gonna have to take me to that store to try on a pair the next time I come to visit. You had me at throw them in the washer! My go-to brand for foot issues is Vionic, but, I’m willing to give these a shot.
LOL. These are super comfy. I honestly don’t know how I survived without them. Never heard of Vionic, but will definitely check them out. And yes…the ability to wash them is a HUGE selling point! Thanks so much for reading!
