Over the next two days I will be getting up close and personal with US Congresswoman, Maxine Waters, businesswoman, Valerie Jarrett, entrepreneur and Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson and blogger extraordinaire, Mattie James.
These are just some of the badass women I get to meet and hear from at Summit 21, an annual influencer conference.
The two-day event takes place in Atlanta (my old home) and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s going to be great to be back in Georgia.
Bloggers,vloggers, girl bosses and entertainers will come together to network and share that black girl magic.
I am travelling with fellow girl boss and blogger, Ianthia. That gyal knows how to have fun.
This trip is going to be interesting for me, as it’s the first influencer conference I have ever attended. I’m hoping to meet some really cool women. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that some incredible women will be speaking at the event.
This year is shaping up to be pretty big for me professionally. It’s funny because I was NEVER the person who wanted to network. That’s because I am very shy. But, I realise that if I want to make valuable connections, I am going to have to shed my shy shell.
I can’t wait to update everyone about the trip. I’m hoping to get some great photos as well. I didn’t bring my professional camera this time around because it’s too bulky and I am travelling light. So, I’m hoping my camera phone won’t let me down.
