I love animals. I mean really love animals. I would have done well in the Garden of Eden.
I don’t know where that love comes from, but I’m glad I have it.
One of my favorite places to visit in Nassau is the Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation Centre. It gives locals and visitors alike the opportunity to get up close and personal with exotic animals.
My niece, Ashlee and I went there for the day and it was fantastic. We got the chance to feed the rainbow-colored Lory parrots, hold their resident Bahamian boa constrictor, Lily and hang with a few other wonderful animals, including the exceptional Caribbean flamingos.
I enjoyed dancing with the birds, but the best part was Ashlee running away from the parrots. That photo is epic.
