R&B singer Tamar Braxton is being treated in a Los Angeles hospital for a possible suicide attempt.
According to reports, she is stable, but still unconscious.
Braxton, who is the youngest sister of Grammy winner, Toni Braxton was found unresponsive at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles.
According to reports, her boyfriend, David Adefeso found her “unresponsive.” He called 911 to report that Braxton had been drinking and took an unknown amount of prescription pills.
If this is indeed the case, it is such a sad story. Braxton is one of the most incredible vocalists of my generation. Right now she has a hit show on VH1, To Catch A Beautician, and also has a respected music career.
A Rough Few Years
The mom of one has gone through a lot over the past few years.
She and her once tight-knit family have been at odds and fought publicly. She divorced her former manager, Vincent Herbert; she was fired from The Real daytime show and she has been subjected to constant online bullying by singer K. Michelle.
Michelle constantly belittles Braxton over her past plastic surgery. It’s a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black, as Michelle has undergone many surgeries on her face and body.
Just recently, Michelle spread news that Braxton was involved in an extramarital affair with the father of rapper/producer, Jermaine Dupri.
The Love & War singer was bullied mercilessly. If she did indeed attempt to take her life, I am sure all of these factors contributed to her decision.
I am praying for Braxton. So many celebrities have lossed their lives in recent days, including former Glee star, Naya Rivera, who drowned in Lake Piru. Actress and wife of John Travolta, Kelly Preston also passed away after battling breast cancer.
