It looks like my hard work is finally paying off. I recently celebrated an incredible YouTube milestone. I got my first 100 YouTube subscribers.
This may not seem like a big deal, but trust me, it is. I started my channel in December 2017, the same time I started this blog. The difference is, I did nothing with it. Absolutely nothing.
I had the account, but wasn’t populating it with content. But, it kept calling to me to do something.
It wasn’t until I attended Summit 21 in Atlanta, GA that I even posted a video, and it was one of US Congresswoman, Maxine Waters dancing to Beyonce’s Before I Let Go song. Months later, I posted what I now consider to be my official first video, a Halloween tutorial.
The minute I got 100 subscribers, YouTube sent me an email congratulating me on reaching that milestone.
One of the benefits is that I get my very own custom URL (YouTube.com/ThisBahamianGyal). Back in the day, you had to have a minimum of 500 subscribers to get it. Thank God things have changed.
Of course, I had to create a video thanking my subscribers. See video down below.
I can’t wait to reach 1,000 subscribers. When I do, I can monetise the channel and make money.
For those of you who aren’t subscribed just yet, please do so. Just hit the subscribe button and then turn on the notification bell so that you know when I release a new video. My channel focuses on beauty, hair care, lifestyle and of course, humour. I have to have my funny videos. I promise you, you’re going to enjoy it.
