If you’re one of the black women in the market for natural looking lace front wigs, Amazon should be your next stop.
I knew Amazon was great for music, movies and tech items, but never thought I would ever buy a wig on the retail giant’s site. That was until I came across a new kinky hair wig.
Even though I have natural hair, I have been growing interested in wigs due to the versatility they provide. These are not the wigs your grandmother used to wear. Oh, no.
Wig manufacturers have come a long way since the 80s. The units today look even more natural than before. Many units feature deep parting, high quality hair and multiple ways to keep the unit secure.
The Wig Game Has Changed
There have been such advancements that sometimes, synthetic wigs look like human wigs.
While shopping online, I spotted this Italian Yaki lace front wig. It’s an 18-inch unit that features virgin Brazilian human hair. It also has baby hair around the perimeter.
It’s a glueless unit – meaning you don’t need glue to secure it to your head. I don’t ever put glue on my hair because it causes damages.
The wig cost $113.90 and arrived on my doorstep very quickly.
One of the first things I noticed is how thick the wig is. I loved that. I also enjoyed the kinky texture because it mimics natural hair when it is blow dried. That makes it perfect for black women who want a wig that looks real.
It’s much different from my straight wig with the bang that I reviewed several weeks ago. You can read all about that wig here.
Of course, I did a video review and installation on my YouTube channel. You can watch it down below.
