ELF’s Poreless Putty Primer may be a game-changer. As someone who has been wearing face primers ever since I started wearing makeup, I have struggled to find one that not only meets, but surpasses my expectations.
While I am a MAC Cosmetics junkie, I have found their face primers to be effective, but a bit too greasy for my skin. Other brands are too chalky, which is what makes ELF’s Putty Primer so unique.
The primer, which retails for $8 at Target – can you say steal – has a velvety smooth texture and applies without all of the chalkiness I hate with other primers. It’s also not greasy.
The product is very smooth to the touch and is easy to apply.
If there is one drawback to this product is that the product doesn’t have the best smell when it’s in the container. In fact, I almost threw it away because I am easily irritated by bad smells. Not that my face would break out, it’s just that I would be annoyed.
However, I did not smell it at all when I applied it to my skin. It melted into my skin with ease and performed beautifully underneath my foundation.
I wore my makeup for hours and it did not get greasy.
The jar contains 0.74 ounces of product. It’s just enough for me and will last for a while considering that I don’t wear makeup every day.
I would totally recommend this product to anyone looking for a budget-friendly primer that actually works.
