Instagram Is Rolling Out Insights For Reels And Live

Instagram is finally giving the people want they want. The social media giant recently announced that it would roll out a new Insights product for Instagram Reels and Live.

Instagram users have long requested analytics for these two features. They are especially necessary given the popularity of Instagram’s Reels.

In a press statement, Instagram said the new product would help creators and businesses better understand and evaluate their performance on Instagram.

“We have been inspired by the ways our community has embraced these content formats and want to make sure creators and businesses can understand how their content is performing,” Instagram said in the statement.

For Reels, Instagram will now show metrics, including plays, accounts reached, likes, comments, saves and shares.

For Lives, the social media company will show accounts reached, peak concurrent viewers, comments and shares.

This is major for content creators, who have long questioned why Instagram didn’t previously offer these features.

Now, content creators will be able to measure exactly how their content is performing on the platform.
