This morning, I will make my official debut on the season opener of the oh-so-popular, Rising Sun Morning Show.
The host, Ianthia Ferguson, who is also an incredible blogger, invited me to the show to discuss my transition from the journalism world to the blogging sphere.
Ianthia and I worked together in numerous capacities and I have always had great respect for her drive. She’s like the Energizer bunny on steroids. The girl was an entrepreneur while working a 9-to-5. Gotta respect that.
A year or so ago, I invited her to my radio talk show,Ed Fields Live, to discuss blogging. She was one of my most exciting guests.
Anyway, she and I have been bumping into each other a lot lately, so when she asked, I naturally agreed to join her on her show.
Rising Sun airs on BTC Flow TV and is watched by many viewers. It’s an incredible platform.
The Interview
You know, it’s funny, because I always get nervous before doing interviews. But, with Ianthia, it really felt comfortable.
We talked about my career transition, why I think creatives aren’t treated with more respect in The Bahamas and we also talked about some hot topics, like Wendy Williams’ marriage drama and the new season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
Both Ianthia and I are serious pop culture junkies, so we take our realiTEA shows seriously.
I don’t want to give too much away, but it’s worth watching. Be sure to watch the entire episode and catch one my absolute favorite Bahamian artists, Dyson Knight in action. He appears in the episode. That’s one talented man.
The episode airs on Flow TV and on the BTC’s Facebook page at 9:30am. I’ll be sure to post it later on.
** Updated with the video. Tune in at the 5 minute and 6 second mark to see my interview.
