I don’t mind sharing my throne. Especially if it’s for a fellow Caribbean queen.
My friend Danielle has returned to Jamaica after four incredible days in my hometown. I miss her already. (Dammit, who’s chopping those onions?)
She kept saying how much fun she had and how much she loves The Bahamas, especially the colourful buildings and blue waters. That’s just one of the things I love about this country. It’s very colourful.
Even though her trip was short, I’m happy that we had the chance to go island hopping before she left. First to Paradise Island and then on to Blue Lagoon Island. I feel no vacation is complete without sailing through our waters.
We arrived at the Paradise Island Ferry Dock and waited a few minutes for our ferry to take us to Blue Lagoon Island. The island is home to dolphins, sea lions, sharks and a great wildlife.
The best part, in my opinion, is the 20-minute boat ride to the island. I love being on the water and apparently, so did Danielle who was happy to get sprayed by the seawater.
As soon as we got on the island she took part in a dolphin encounter where she got up close and personal with a beautiful dolphin named, Salvador.
I also got a chance to catch up with one of my longtime and most amazing friends, Fonzey while occasionally snapping pics of her. He is an animal trainer.
We stayed on the island for a few hours before heading back to Paradise Island so that she could visit the iconic Atlantis resort and trek through the colourful Marina Village.
Danielle is already planning to come back for a quick trip. I can’t wait for her to return.
In the meantime, check out some of our pics from our day of activities.
