Talk show host and This Bahamian Gyal creator, Rogan Smith was recently honored as one of the Most Influential Bahamian Women in Business 2018.
Smith, along with 24 other women, received their award on Saturday during a ceremony at Graycliff Restaurant.
The awards, which were staged by Professional Services Bahamas (PSB), featured a phenomenal group of women who exhibit character, class and courage.
According to PSB, “the inagural edition is the first of many future editions that profile women that are corporate trendsetters and organizational movers and shakers that positively impact the economy of The Bahamas.”
“These distinguished women shatter the glass ceiling in business and truly are role models for future generations.”
Smith, who is a veteran journalist and marketing executive, said she was honoured to be chosen for the award.
“It feels incredible to be recognized for the work that I do. The award really came as a surprise. I understand that I was nominated by members of the community. That feels good because it shows that someone out there is watching me and believes in me so strongly that they felt I was deserving of an award,” Smith said.
“In everything I do I try to operate with a standard of excellence. Receiving this award will make me push even harder to be better. Beyond that, I’m just thankful to be mentioned in the same breath as many of the other awardees.”
