In the season finale of VH1’s TI & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, the female cast joined Cyntoia Brown Long for a PSA on sex trafficking.
Brown Long is a sex trafficking victim who was convicted of the murder and robbery of Johnny Michael Allen. She was 16 at the time.
She alleged that Allen paid her $150 to have sex with him and she feared for her life so she shot him. She served 15 years in prison, but later had her sentence commuted.
The entire female cast turned out for the PSA, which was actually TI’s idea. He was hoping to appear in the TV spot, but his chief strategist advised him not to considering his controversial remarks where he admitted to taking his daughter, Deyjah to the gynecologist annually to have her hymen checked.
While he seemed disappointed, he understood the concern and stepped back.
The PSA was especially timely considering that in Georgia, where the reality show is filmed, 12,400 men pay for sex with a young woman each month and 7,200 of them end up exploiting an adolescent female.
It is well known that sex trafficking is an underground business that operates in plain sight.
During the show, Tiny revealed that TI and Deyjah finally spoke about the controversial remarks he made. TI admits that the dialogue was “healthy” and he stressed the importance of ensuring his family unit remains tight.
Monica meantime, revealed some of her new music at a listening party. She unveiled a track where she was rapping as her alter ego, Bands.
Toya Johnson Is Engaged
Toya Johnson is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Robert “Red” Rushing.
The couple, who have been dating for three years and share a daughter, got engaged in the most beautiful way.
Rushing took Toya on a helicopter ride. As they were landing, she saw the words, “Toya, Will You Marry Me” written in red letters on the helicopter pad.
TI & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, which airs Monday nights on VH1 has been renewed for a third season.
