Oooooh child. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting on.
Wendy Williams is finally breaking her silence over her recent marriage drama, and she’s doing it in the most Wendy Williams way – by throwing shade.
It all started during Monday’s Hot Topics segment where Wendy talked about life in a sobriety house. She noted that she was doing much better and getting the clarity that she needs. Her fans were happy to hear that. But, it was the moment when, she said that she would be doing what was best for her and her son that got a huge applaud. There was no mention of her husband, Kevin Hunter, or Big Kev, as she calls him. Wendy then continued stressing that she would do what’s best for her and her child.
Perhaps the biggest tell came when she was sounding off on the continued Cardi B. v Nicki Minaj feud. She tossed it to an interview that Cardi was doing and asked her producer to rewind the footage to showcase the “chocolate” guy in the back. There was a handsome fella standing behind Cardi. We’re not sure who he is, but he could have been her bodyguard.
Wendy continued to show great appreciation for the guy’s looks, quickly noting that she’s “on the loose.” The studio audience erupted into applause because it was an obvious dig at her husband, who was recently served with divorce papers.
The third dig occurred during the Hot Topics segment when she was referring to a couple in a May-December romance. Wendy said, “I don’t know about you, but my diaper changing days are over.” On the surface, she may have been talking about the older gentleman being discussed in the Hot Topics segment, but her fans took it as another dig at her husband and his mistress who recently welcomed a baby in the world.
Wendy was not playing in this episode and I was all for it. I’m actually happy to see her focus on her sobriety and her mental well-being.
Way to go, Wendy! It’s about time.

Yeeess, this is a big step in the right direction and will lead to a happier, more whole Wendy. Well done Wendy, Well done.

Hi Mechelle! I agree. I am sooo happy for Wendy. As a longtime viewer, I have been questioning why she allows Big Kev to make an absolute fool of her on national TV no less. I am so proud of her.
