It’s the Weekend, baby!
For as long as I can remember, I have been thebiggest fan of The Tribune’s Weekend magazine.
As a creative and lover of all things entertainment, I can’t tell you how much I enjoy reading this publication. It keeps me updated on all the latest happenings in Nassau and regularly features all of the Bahamian actors, singers, chefs and bloggers I love.
So, I felt incredibly fortunate to be featured in the magazine. And not just featured, I was the cover girl! This is a major feat for me as this month, my blog marks one year since it debuted.
I have been nominated for several awards, the most recent of which, is the Elevation Award, slated to take place next month. This Bahamian Gyal truly is the little blog that could.
I literally had to go to four stores to buy the newspaper because they were sold out. That just increased my anticipation.
In the article, I spoke to journalist, Cara Hunt about how I started my blog, how I come up with fresh content (my family gives me tons of fodder) and I also highlighted the challenges and stigmas Bahamian bloggers face. It’s an interesting read. But, then again, I’m biased. 😉
