Content creators, listen up. For the past few months, I have told anyone with ears how much I love Canva, the online resource that allows amateurs like me to create professional designs.
Before stumbling on this platform, I was a total Photoshop junkie. But, I realise that not everyone can afford nor wants to take the time to learn how to operate that sometimes complicated software. Enter Canva. Businesses and content creators who want to ensure that they have a cohesive and professional look across their social media platforms, should definitely stop wasting time and start using this website.
I have tried many online tools like PicMonkey and Snappa, but I find that when it comes to ease of use, Canva wins. I can literally create anything.
Here are my top 5 reasons why I absolutely love Canva and you will, too.
1. It’s Free.
I don’t think there’s a greater feeling in the world than getting something for nothing. Especially when that something turns out to be professionally designed graphics and designs.
I use Canva for all of my YouTube thumbnails, as well as designs for this blog. The resources are gorgeous.
While Canva has a paid option, it gives its users plenty of wonderful resources without them having to pay a dime. I only recently upgraded to premium, but for months, I produced quality designs without digging in my wallet.
There are online platforms that give you access to free designs, but I have found that in many instances, they are so unattractive or cumbersome to operate, that users end up opting for the paid subscription.
2. It’s So Easy To Use
It doesn’t matter if a product is free. If it’s too difficult to understand or navigate, I’m out. I’m happy to say that is not the issue with Canva. The website features drag-and-drop designs that even a motivated eight-year-old can operate. Yes, people, it’s that simple.
3. Great Range Of Templates
Forget about doing extensive Google searches to find out the dimensions of a Facebook or Twitter cover photo. Canva’s templates are already set up to those platforms’ specifications. All you have to do is select the template you want, then get to designing. That is a huge time saver and takes the guess work out of your designs.
4. It’s Up To Date On Trends
Instagram just rolled out its latest feature, Reels to rival TikTok. There are many people who are interested in the new feature, but don’t know where to begin. You don’t have to worry about that. Canva has a template for it. Some online platforms take a while to catch up to technology. Canva is already there.
5. So Many Graphics And Fonts
When I first started using Photoshop, I would spend a great amount of time either creating photos to accompany my blog posts or scouring the internet for free images. It was incredibly tedious and a major time waster.
I love the fact that Canva features all of the social media icons that I need and has wonderful photos on its free site that I can use. It really is a one-stop-shop. It also features a wide range of fonts. You will not get bored scouring through the options.
I know that at this time, there are certain things that you simply can’t do on Canva, especially if you are looking for full Photoshop capability. But, trust me, there are a lot of options.
People with very little design experience will have a ball navigating the website. So, start Canva today and watch your designs come to life.
Did I mention it’s free? Yup, I had to point that out once again.
